I have lived at Summit Ridge for a year now and I really enjoy it. I'm moving this coming summer, but if I was going to stay in Arlington, I would definitely stay at Summit Ridge.

PROS: The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. When I first moved to the DFW area last year, they drew maps and helped me find my way around the city. They even helped me with a school project one time. The only real maintenance issue I've had was a pipe bursting and leaking into my kitchen, but that was after a HUGE storm and someone came over to fix it immediately. My neighbors are all pretty nice. Sometimes people are really noisey in the parking lot late at night, but it never lasts more than a few minutes. I feel pretty safe there. I have an alarm and a panic button. One night the tornado sirens went off and my neighbors came upstairs and told me I could come down to their downstairs apartment if one of the twisters got too close. Six Flags is right there, if you get a season pass you have something fun and free to do every weekend. Hurricane Harbor is next door, which is pretty fun too. Sherlock's Pub is a stone's throw away, and there are three grocery stores to choose from less than 4 miles away.

CONS: The gate!!! It is always broken! I have my third gate remote now because the others stopped working. I am a full-time student and spend a lot of late hours on campus or at work, so coming home at 1 a.m. after 8 hours of cramming in the library, the last thing I want is to sit outside for another 30 minutes waiting for someone to come out so I can go in. The neighborhood sucks and it seems like it is getting worse. The new stadium is an act of the -----. Construction is awful and makes traffic TERRIBLE (I'm from Austin, so for me to think traffic anywhere outside of Austin is awful, that is saying a lot)!!! In regards to the horrible area, Summit Ridge is an oasis in the desert so to speak. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
