You will regret it

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008
I had lived at the Cliffs happily for many years without any problems. The day I moved out was when all the problems started. I had cleaned my apartment very thoroughly, and turned in my keys. I was charged a ridiculous amount to replace the carpet- It was more then half my rent. There was only normal traffic areas that were a little darker in color, but no stains or any other problems. I was also charged a cleaning fee even though my mother and I had spent hours cleaning everything. I was also charged for my final water bill, even though I had already been given a statement and had paid that bill. I am very, very disappointed in the way I was treated, especially since I had recommended others to live there. I feel very bad for doing that now, knowing how my friends will eventually be treated when they move out. The other disappointing thing was that I had discussed my concerns about hearing terrible things about people getting ripped off when they moved out, and I was assured that if there was just normal traffic to the apartment that I would get my deposit back and there would be no problems. I feel like I was lied to, and made to feel comfortable that everything that I had heard was not true, when it was. I am very very disappointed in how The Cliffs treated me, and I truly hope that this review helps other not make the same mistake that I did. I had actually switched apartments about a year and a half and had no problems at that time, which makes this all the more worse, knowing that they have started to treat people this way.
