I lived in these apartments for 18 months when I was an undergrad at UTA. The price was a steal for $450 for 850 sq. ft. They never raised the rent on me, and I was actually never on a lease, which is unheard of nowadays The manager was an older woman and her husband or brother did maintenance. I always got along with the manager. I could page her whenever, and she would call back and because they lived so close, the maintenance guy would come fix something right away. There are not more than 20 units, so it was small and I liked dealing with this couple who are more caring than a corporation with all it's rules and such. Towards the end of my stay, the manager had a heart attack and she was replaced, and I think the apartments were bought by a company that wanted to raise my rent significantly and put me on a lease. They don't have a towing service, which I appreciate. I never had problems getting a spot right in front of my apartments. It is true that the walls are thin, and you can hear everything. The neighbors were nice. They had all been there awhile, and most were families. They are not fancy apts, but look cozy from the outside, especially compared to other complexes down the street and in the area. They don't even have a pool, but for a basic apt they are nice. I admit I didn't clean my apartment well at all when I left, but I got all my deposit back anyways. Towards the end of my stay, there was one freak incidence of car vandalism, where my roommate got her purse stolen from her backseat and my boyfriend's car had been rummaged through, but he left the window cracked.
