I remember the Verandahs. Even still, after having been away for over 6 months.

My move-in was pleasant. Office staff at the time was okay, neither good nor bad. Everything seemed to go according to plan.

I'm young, so the noise in surrounding buildings didn't really bother me, considering my roommates and I made quite a bit of noise as well. Car stereo basses thumping at 2 AM is no biggie. It's most likely the overflow from after the bars close, and everyone's so drunk driving home that they don't even realize the stereo is that loud in the first place. What do I care' I'm inside, safe and sound.

The noise got progressively worse as the months went by and more families moved into surrounding units. Families with several dirty, undisciplined children that enjoy stomping up the exterior stairs shooting water guns and scratching up the cars in the parking lot. But I got through it... what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

And that was definitely the case when I moved out. My roommate and I received a ridiculously high bill for damages done to the apartment. Some of the charges were understandable, some were just silly.

After a three week process of trying to get the issue resolved and the leasing manager being uncooperative, the issue was settled. Game over.

Or was it' Unfortunately no. Their decision to report us to the collections agency before our allowed payment period was over has costed me big time. My credit used to be excellent, and thanks to this hellish experience, my credit will be in the red for several more years to come. Thank you, Verandahs at Cliffside.

Future residents of Verandahs, please take this as a warning.
