I lived at the Verandahs for 1 year and there is really nothing good to say. I have not lived there for 1.5 years and received a bill today for $639.05. Upon my departure from this neglected apartment they charged me $800.00 claiming that the apartment was left unclean. That was a bold acusation that was simply not true. They just wanted more money. On the bill I received today, I had reached a settlement with the manager and paid the bill in full 1 AND A HALF YEARS AGO. Upon my arrival at the apartment to discuss the apartment, the facilities threw all the obsecnities he could at me. Including F*** bomds and calling me an idiot.
Now, as for the apartment: The most annoying aspect was the pipe that dripped onto the middle of the patio 6 inches from the back door. They claimed that I had caused that and somehow left water in the carpet. The walls are about as thin as notbook paper and the insulation is pretty much non-existant. Trust me, you do not want to get mixed up with these crooks.

I've had problems with this apartment as well. I strongly recommend that you contact an attorney. The Texas Property Code specifically outlines what an apartment may or may not bill you for. I suggest you visit the Texas Tenants Union at the following address: http://www.txtenants.org/ Here you will find the Texas Property Code in full detail. Notice that it is the apartment's responsibility to prove in court damages which they allege. Good luck.
