My wife and I have lived here for over a year now. We wanted to get a satilite dish so we asked if it was allowed. We were given verbal as well as written permission to have the satilite company come and install the dish. We had our service for over a year. One day they just came and took it down and put it in there office. They gave us no warning they just took it. I went to the office to report it stolen and they said oh we took it down. Not only did they take the dish but, they wrote on it. Now we are stuck paying for a service that we can't use all because Verandah's at cliffside went back on there word.Don't move here it looks nice but, the Management leaves something to be desired.

No offense, but parking *beside* the visitor spot is NOT the same as parking *in* the visitor spot. Additionally, I the apartments posted notices on everyone's door and by the mailboxes specifically stating that any visitor that did not park in the specified "Visitor" parking spots would be towed. I've had guests over when the visitor parking spots closest to my apartment were full, but my guests simply parked a little further away in the next lot of visitor spots. Yes, it was a bit inconvenient for my guest, but it wasn't as inconvenient as being towed.

Funny how attentive management is in enforcing rules, when simply making a call to towing service is all that's involved.
However when it comes to fixing serious problems that tenants have, management drags their feet.

I am actually glad to hear that the towing policy is being enforced. I don't like non-tenants taking up our parking spaces. To be honest, I really don't want non-tenants hanging around the apartment complex to begin with; but that's a whole other issue. I also hope that the enforcement of the policy would eventually discourage some of the tenants from holding frequent loud, obnoxious, drunken parties at the complex, especially after their buddies' cars get towed away for parking in a non-visitor spot. The less convenient it is for the party goers, the better. Well needless to say, the Management has warned the tenants in writing at least twice about the towing policy. I've relayed the information to my guests, and my guests have not felt inconvenienced with parking in visitor parking. They actually think the policy is great, and so do I! R.I.F. ... Reading Is Fundamental. ;-)

The Management is clearly not capable of managing anything, they can not keep employees let alone manage anything else. After 2 years there have been 5 property managers and countless office staff and the current property manager Crystal and the regional manager Chuck are complete idiots!!!! PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE replace these idiots!!! and if any management personnel are reading this remember if it was not for the people that live and pay rent here YOU would not be employed!!!

ok im kinda confused as to the parking comments on this particular comment, but just FYI i love guests having to park far away. i have wanted to move here since i move to a far inferior complex down the street. i wish i only had ur problems...i have the overflow of roaches from my nasty "move in special queen" neighbors, the pest control guy advised me to move saying this was the worst complex on his route. uggg. if a man that deals with roaches for a living states i need to move u know there a is a problem, i swear that southern hills will suck u in i mean it. the roaches have eaten half my furniture. and holy crap dont let southern hills try and make the property nicer...1st time they had someone come out it was to rip off the balconies and replace them...i had to replace tires on both my cars due to screws in the parking lot, next time they has someone come out to paint the outside of the complex....they put no warnings out and i came out one saturday morning @ 8 to find that both my truck and car had been painted with over spray of primer and brown paint...here recently they hired tree trimmers and when we woke up on saturday lol once again @ 8 to move our cars...we moved the car and discovered the truck had a flat tire...my husband asked the trimmers to trim some of the other trees while he went to his friends shop down the street to get a new tire...before he could even get back they had knocked his truck off the jack damaging the drum and axle. the management of course like usual told us we had to go after the contractor. oh ya, they contractor that painted did so in january, it is the end of august and he still hasnt paid to fix our cars.

Who in the world likes having their guests park far away?
Anyway, they took my dish down too but I caught him in the process. The guy doing it had a golf cart full of dishes (about 7) and they just dumped them out by the leasing office. I wish somebody had of taken my dish. Plus, you still have to pay for it if you're in a contract. They should be made to pay for the loss of funds. Somebody contact a lawyer.

To the Anonymous responder from 08/05/2008 ... While searching online for apartments, I came across your response and was quite annoyed with it. Where are your manners? It isn't nice to call people "stu stu stupid." Before you try to put people down for being stupid, you probably should brush up on the English language. The possessive form of third-person plural pronoun is "their" not "there" (i.e. "their mother-in-law" not "there mother-in-law"). "Freinds of staff" should be "friends of staff." Geez! Be nice. Comment on the pros and cons of the property management/apartment community and not on peoples' I.Q.s; we could care the least about that! I am mainly concerned about how responsive management is to the needs of the tenants. Most of the responses on here are very helpful. Thanks. |
