I just found this website by accident and I am glad I did. Moving to VDM was a big mistake on my part. The first week or so I was there a neighbor downstairs had a huge fight, they were banging on doors and threatening each other with bats. Six months later my car was vandalized a couple of times and a neighbors car was acually broken into. They said there was supposedly a "security officer" on duty at night but I never saw him or her. If all that wasn't bad enough my AC went on the fritz in the middle of summer, my apartment was unbearable. I called, they came out fairly quickly. They said the AC wouldn't get cold because the filter hadn't been changed, then it was that some part was worn and they had to order a new one, it was back and forth with me calling and them given me an excuse. When they would come out it would work for a day and then go out again. Until I finally went off and yelled at someone, that's when it became I needed a new unit. They installed the unit one day and that didn't work. Then they had to cut a hole in the my bedroom ceiling and a hole in my storage room ceiling to do whatever. Finally the AC worked and was the coldest my apartment had been since I moved in. The holes in the ceiling (with black trashbags taped over them)remained there until I moved out eventhough I complained everyday, but at this point my lease was almost up and I had obviously wasn't going to renew. I wish I found this site before I had moved in, would have save me a lot of time and trouble. Looks great from the outside but don't let that fool you.

Glad to know someone else, yet again had the same bad experience that we did. People need to know!
