I am moving to Austin and have lived at Villa Del Mar Apartments for about a year now. I have found the staff and property to be excellent during my stay. The management company is Lincoln Properties which is known for their ability to keep properties in a very well maintained state. I'm sad to be leaving because they just renovated the entire complex and it is pretty nice. I'm retired and around the property most of the day and it seems to be quiet where I live, which is near the children's playground. I did have some very loud neighbors, but after two complaints to the office, that was taken care of. I also like the way that the staff stays on the "troublemakers" who make too much noise, litter, don't pick up after their pets, etc... I suspect some of the bad reviews on this site come from folks who got jacked up by the staff for littering or causing problems. Bottom line is this - If you want to live someplace where it is nice and quiet check out Villa Del Mar. If you want to move someplace where you can throw beer bottles in the yard and have parties till 5am every night, Villa Del Mar is probably not for you...
