Don't Bother!

In addition to the ant problem (which the management always said was my fault... ants in the bathtub is my fault' Sorry, no food left out in there!), the "new and improved" management company decides to change policies in the middle of your lease! There is no security guard like they say there is. There used to be a guard, but he tends to disappear when tenants need him! The water is turned off all the time for "repair" or "upgrade" and is never back on when they say it will be! Out of the 18 months I've been here, 15 months the water has been turned off at least once during the month... and we're lucky if they notify us!

There are much better apartments in Arlington for this price! Go somewhere else... I am!

(Regarding the survey questions below)
Parking - one covered spot per apartment (even though I paid for two under the old management and it's part of my lease!)

Noise - I've had to call the police at least 4 times because of noise (isn't this something the security officer is supposed to handle'!'! Somehow he can never be found!)

Grounds - I've been told over and over again that the "new" landscapers are going to take care of the erosion issue that leaves the parking lot and sidewalk to my apartment covered in mud. We had a light sprinkle yesterday and mud is everywhere!

Safety - Lighting is ok in some areas, very dark in others. Parking lot pretty well lit under covered areas. See comments above regarding no security guard as advertised.

Construction - Again, lots of talk about upgrades, repainting, etc. but have yet to see anything materialize.

Maintenance - Things get fixed if the maintenance guys show up. Don't know if this is a communication issue between office and maintenance, but they do a good job when they do show up.

Office Staff - Very friendly to your face, but I have issues with the policy changes they decide to implement in the middle of leases that affect previous agreements. No staff available after hours if you have problems (i.e. noisy neighbors!) Make lots of promises, but don't deliver!

Overall - I've lived in better places at this price level (and below!) I definitely will not be renewing my lease!

Yeah, the current staff (I moved out in the early part of '09) also refuses to handle noise issues. Why should they right? It's not affecting their standard of living now is it? And it's the same story with the "courtesy officer"... what a joke.
