First the good things (there aren't many..) They did a good job of keeping the grass cut and I never saw bugs.

Now for the bad things..

Our water bill was $20-$25 a month for the first 6 months I lived there. It then jumped to $55-$60 a month! The explanation was that the last woman that calculated the bills had charged everyone the same (regardless of the # of tenants or size of the apt.) So, they were making up for it... $60 A MONTH FOR WATER'' Seriously!' Then, after about 10 monhts or so of that, we get a notice basically saying Oops. They said there was an error in the way they'd been calculating it, and that they'd incur another 5% of the bill to make it up to us--my bill went back down to $20-$25 a month...

The neighbors... DO NOT MOVE TO WALNUT CREEK IF YOU WANT A NICE QUITE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE. For approx. 8 solid months I had neighbors downstairs staying up till 4 am every Fri or Sat night outside on their patio drinking, having a lot of company over, and this large group of ppl would erupt with laughter as if they were having a party at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon! This was complete with the camel belches and everything... Both of the downstairs neighbors would have both of their patios full! I'd look out my bedroom window at 3am or so, and see girls straddling the railing going around the patios, guy's walking back and forth between the 2 patios.. All the management would do is provide lip-service. Oh, they'd talk a good game, but they really did nothing. EVEN THOUGH IT'S IN THE LEASE THAT THEY CAN REGULATE THE USE OF PATIOS!! The Arlington Police are terrible. One cop told me to use earplugs! There is no noice ordinance (other than for electronics..) If you want to live next to white trash that party's all night long, then Walnut Creek is the place for you. These people also left bags of trash outside by their front door ALL THE TIME. And they refused to use an ash tray. There were cigarette butts litered through out the perimiter of their apartment.

I need to also note that there were 2 sets of downstairs neighbors that did this. There was a brief period after the first ppl moved where a middle aged man lived downstairs. It was fine for about 4 months or so. And they did apparently forbid the other neighbors from partying on the back porch. They stopped, and that's the only reason I can think of. However... Another young couple moved in, and the neighbors who no longer partied on their porch quickly made friends with them, and it was the same nightmare all over again (although they did go in earlier--because I called the police when they were out after 11 pm.) The police usually had an hour response time. So, they'd be forced in at around 12-12:30 am. The drunken partying was only on the one porch directly below me this time.

People do not pick up after their pets. There was pet crap all around the sidewalk leading to my apt, and if you're not careful you step in it.

The "courtesy officer" is in name only. She returned about 2 calls over the course of the initial 8 months. I finally met her after about 8 months of weekly complaints about the parties. She told me that there was atleast one confirmed occurence and that they'd do something about it. She also said that she's usually working Fri and Sat night--at her regular job!! Ummm. Call me crazy, but isn't Fri and Sat night the time that you're most likely to need a "courtesy officer"'

The appliances are old. My refrigerator had a broken foot on it, so that it rocked badly when the door opened and closed. The ice maker made hollow ice as well.. They said they'd replace it (which they did--THREE MONTHS LATER..) However, they installed the same ice maker that made hollow ice. My dishwasher never opened the soap dispenser (because the bottom rack wasn't the one that was supposed to go there and it would block the door.) I told them about it, so they sent one of the two latino's they have as general handy men out to fix it. He replaced a sensor--even though I showed him the rack was blocking the door... It never worked. Their handymen are really pro at fixing something as cheaply as it possbile. It's obvious to me that this company is out to squeeze every dime they possibly can out of this complex. Also.. The manager at the time that replaced the fridge 3 months after I'd told her about this acted as if she'd done some great and wonderful thing and she came across as though I should be forever indebted to her.

Walnut Creek Apts are by far the worst place I have ever lived in my 39 years on this Earth--other than the US Army barracks. The barracks were worse, but not by much.

The revolving door of management at this complex flat out does not care about anything except getting the rent in my opinion. I asked the first manager to come out at around midnight on a random Friday and see what I have to deal with regarding the parties. She said "Well, I would but I'm usually in bed sleeping with my husband." I said it must be nice to be able to sleep at night! How nice for you. I asked her if any of her assistants happened to live on the property. They can come and see this. She said (in as condescending a tone as you can imagine) "We OWN our own homes!" She talked to me like I was beneath her because I was renting. I asked the 2nd manager the same thing. Just drop by sometime and see for yourself. She said she lived too far away.

Oh, and my new car had it's hub caps stolen while parked in the Walnut Creek parking lot a week and a half after I bought it. very nice..

I lived there for apporximately a year and a half.

Do yourself a favor and keep looking. If you have doubts about what I'm saying, then by all means... You can come out on a random Fri or Sat night around 1 am or so, and see for yourself the lifestyle of this complex. (And honestly... I'd tolerate all-nighters if it were say.. New Year's Eve, or St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July... You know. One of those times of year when ppl party. But not every weekend.)

Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this site allows people to post just that...their opinion. I have lived here for 2 years and have not had any issues I haven't had at any other apartment I have lived in. As for management, I know for a fact the manager is not married and she has been more than happy to help me with the few issues I have had. I know the assistant manager has been there for 3 years so the revolving door must not be revolving to fast. Judging from the book that you wrote complaining about everything under the sun, I would say you are a little bitter and possibly in need of some medication. But that's just my opinion!

You commented on my review. If you had problems that's sad, but don't go accusing me of "tolerating" everything. Did you ever think about the fact that maybe not everyone lives under the same conditions as you! Rude! I know exactly what you're talking about with the parties in the complex, but luckily I do not live near them....so why would I complain about something that doesn't effect me? Also, I've never had a $60 water bill, so again....why the hell would I complain about that? I've had problems with management just like everyone else, but I've dealt with them each time and then moved on like an adult. However, I do know about every one of the problems you've listed.

I am annoyed by what childish actions ArmySeargent obviously portrays, you can clearly tell he is ignorant and just trying to be a powerful figure when he is an uptight idiot. The grounds are nice the office staff is superb.

In response to Mr. Anonymous... Show up any Friday or Saturday night and see for yourself the lifestyle at Walnut Creek. If that's what you want, then by all means... Enjoy.
