I have lived in this apartment complex for several years now. In the recent year or so, the quality and safety of the complex has decreased and I plan to move out as soon as possible.
First, my laundry was stolen from the laundry room this week for the first time. There was no response from the office, as usual. In addition, a few months ago a friend's car was broken into and everything from his sunglasses to his child's schoolwork was stolen. Again, no response other than the office staff stating that a flier alerting residents would be placed on their doors--It was not. This makes me wonder how many other such incidents have occurred of which residents are not made aware.
Of lesser importance, back to the laundry rooms. Residents can choose to pay a monthly fee to rent mini washers and dryers; however, they were not available when I moved in and I prefer to go to the laundry room (at least, I did). The number of washers and dryers were decreased and there is now a total of six washers and six dryers in two laundry rooms for the entire complex. There has never been an instance in which all six machines are working. Most times, one (or two if you're lucky) of each works. In addition, they are not coin-operated; you have to put money on a purchased card in a machine in the office (which can be inconvenient because the office is only open 8-5).
Dogs ... I don't dislike dogs, but when I moved in they were not allowed at the complex. It bothers me more that this rule was changed without notice--In fact, it still states on my lease that dogs are not allowed. On the subject of animals, there are plenty of feral cats running around as well.
Maintenance ... There are approximately, that I've seen, two full-time maintenance workers for the entire complex. I may be wrong, there may be one, there may be three. In any event, it's not enough.
Potholes ... There is a huge pothole upon entering the complex and veering left. There have been attempts to quick-fix it, which of course do not work and the huge pothole (It's expanded to two now) reappears like a ghost (a bad one for your tires).
Water ... This year the complex was bought by another management company and now you must pay water. It's about $11-12 bucks a month, but we received a letter stating that it would never be more than $10. Minor, but irritating.
Rent ... If you are unfortunate enough to be sucked into renting from this place, make sure you rent at a time when they're having a special. When I moved in, I was told by a snooty but competent woman that "We don't do specials." A few months later the rent dropped by about $30/month because of low capacity. The snooty woman in the office is now gone, as is most of the respect I have for this place.
Noise ... If you are unlucky enough to have three noisy residents living in the apartment above yours who apparently enjoy playing some sort of full-contact wrestling until 4 a.m., as well as yelling drunkenly on their cellphone on the stairwell, prepare to not sleep well.
Mail ... There are post office boxes at the front of the complex for each apartment so that you can receive mail. However, there is no drop box or slot to send mail. Yes, you heard me right. Is that even legal' There's a post office a few miles away, but seriously ...
So, as has probably been mentioned in other reviews, the complex looks good asthetically, at least in the spring and summer--It appears they spend most of their money on flowers. Once you pull the string, though, the sweater falls apart.

I lived here about the same time frame and the type of resident shifted about the same time they cleared the land for the new Cowboy Stadium. Noise and trash increased as well.
Always ask the leasing agents where they live. None of them lived at Walnut Ridge, so that should tell you what they think about the property.
