03/27/14 by johns_crystal@ymail.com: I had the best moving experience coming here (home). The mgr got us in very quickly with zero problems, was at the utmost respectful to us and my son. I have all wonderful neighbors who are quiet but friendly. Very safe play area for kids. I havent been here long, but I pray to be! Feels very good to be here! more

04/24/13 by anonymous: I have had a truly horrible experience living in these apartments. The management is rude and unhelpful, and the maintenance department is incapable of doing it's job, to say the very least. The air conditioning unit in my apartment has been broken for over a year, and has twice caused the ceiling in my bathroom to collapse. There have been two attempts by the "maintenance" more

10/18/13 by anonymous: I don't think people know that bedbugs can happen to anyone. My mother got them in her apartment and the staff at the village at collinwood handled it very well. Pest control came the very next day to inspect and just a few days later my moms apartment was treated. It's been a few months now and we have not have any new bedbugs. I was very impressed how the employees handled everything and more

10/03/09 by anonymous: I have been here for a little over a year now...families of 4 living in a one bedroom so water bill is not divided evenly. Alot of Illegals. Someone got stabbed in the parking lot a couple of weekends ago. There are cockroaches. Lighting is not good. People will knock on your door at all hours of the day and night trying to scope our your place. Your car will get broken into. 3 people I know were more

09/24/13 by anonymous: I have lived in this property for years now, recently changes have been made with management and must say its an OK change (nothing special about new manager) he does have a very military demeanor, which you can not be all in your residents business & not call the police on them. I heard of an incident where the resident had a party for their child a moonwalk was onsite he called the more

07/13/05 by anonymous: I really enjoyed living at Windsong while I was going to UT. The location is best for those in law, science, comm, etc., but you can still cut through campus quickly to get to the south side of it. As a female, I felt perfectly safe walking to and from campus, even at night, although the Red River intersection can be a bit dangerous for peds.

The one bedroom/study benefits from a FANTASTIC more

06/06/10 by tizz2t: I lived here for a little over a year and was very pleased with the apartments. Very VERY cheap but yes the are older so nooo amentities at all. whenever I had a maintanance issue, they fixed it that day or the next. They do ALOT of up keep in the apartments and the grounds. The only thing I dont like is the fact that it seems they are renting to alot of one specific ethnic group that has alot more

09/13/09 by ugaguga: The location is easily the best in Austin. My unit had all new appliances, tile floors, new carpeting, nice fixtures. Neighbors were pretty friendly. Parking was fine, my unit had a spot in the Railyard lot, so was easy for me. Also, it is much cheaper than some of the newer buildings. Overall, I loved living in the Railyard and would recommend it to anyone looking more

11/07/12 by anonymous: This is my 3rd year staying at VIP Apartments and I would definitely recommend it as a place to live. The rent is cheap, it is very close to campus. You can easily walk to class in 15 minutes, but if you prefer not to walk there are bus stops conveniently located right outside the building with the IF bus coming every 10 minutes and the 5 bus every 30. If you have your own car parking is more

04/04/14 by anonymous: I lived in a 3 bed/3 bath for 2 years and this was my favorite apartment during college. I highly recommend the Villas. PROS: -I think these were built in 1999, but they still feel new. Everything was in good condition when we moved in and remained in good condition during our 2 years there. -2 of the 3 bedrooms are very spacious (including closets) and the smaller bedroom has a huge more

04/25/05 by anonymous: I spent two happy years at Castle Hill & have pleasant memories of the place. If you want a spiffy apartment with pool and gym and all the modern amenities (like washer/dryer hookups), Castle Hill isn't for you. But if you're attracted to an older brick building with wooden floors on a quiet tree-lined street just a stroll from one of the most happenin' intersections in Austin -- 6th & more

09/19/08 by aptwoes: *This review is about the Century at 710 E. Dean Keeton (like the other one). While it is true that the complex is very convenient to campus for students, I just want to warn people it probably isn't worth living in the borderline sluminess. First, most of the units are extremely outdated, though there is a wide range as some units are slightly more updated. But a number have more

11/24/09 by anonymous: The complex is under new management. The new management folks are very friendly and manage the place well. There are 1 bedrooms apartments and efficiencies apartments that have been newly painted. It's a great bang for the buck. Where else in Central Austin can you live so inexpensively??? I highly recommend the place. I have lived there for just over two years now. more

06/23/14 by Colleen U: This place could have been great but I think they cut way too many corners and they say "but the view" for everything. There is no view...there are trees and a lot of construction. I'm paying $1,550 for one-bedroom and had to pay another $130 to finally get grass behind my apartment. The grass that they put in is like cheap weed and now I can't get them to mow it. I have more

07/14/13 by anonymous: When I first move to Austin from Laredo with a job transfer, this place was good to me. I never had any problems except for the hit and run on the weekend of 4th of July 2000. We woke up the next day just to find my pickup had been smashed sometime during the night. The only other problem I had was one of my women neighbors couldn't wait 20 seconds for me to take out my clothes from the more

12/28/05 by anonymous: Cute little apartments in a great neighborhood. You get used to the trains after a while. Management is quick to deal with/evict problem tenants. There are several long term residents who love it. One man has been there 10 years. I have been there almost a year and plan to stay.

On the negative. Nothing more than any other older apartment. Hot water issues, old buildings...etc. But it more
