I've really enjoyed it

Summary:
This place is great. It is affordable and in a good, convenient location. The staff is friendly. I feel safe at this complex and have very few complaints.
Pros:
Very very friendly office staff. Now that I've been here a few months the staff, particularly April, knows me by name and has always been very nice to me each time I come to the office.
Spacious units. I'm in the smaller 2X2 which is about 1070 sq ft and I feel like I have so much room in here. The bedrooms are on complete opposite sides of the unit so you don't hear the noise your roommate is making.
Storage. Large pantry, good sized coat closet in the entryway and a large storage closet on the balcony, not to mention some shelving in the utility closet.
Friendly neighbors. I had a neighbor of mine help carry up a heavy bag of dog food when she saw my arms were full and I was struggling, and I live on the 3rd floor! My other neighbors always have a "hello, how are you" when we cross paths.
Maintenance staff has a policy that your maintenance requests will be answered within 48 hours of your request being made. I had some small requests after moving in and the maintenance guy was here on our 2nd day. I've had a couple of minor things come up that needed fixing, and maintenance has always been here within a few days (none of my things are urgent) to fix everything up.
Cons:
The front office is often swamped with business and therefore frequently doesn't answer the phones. More often than not you will get an answering machine during business hours, so if what you're wanting to speak to them about is important I would go in and speak in person... but if they really are busy you will still have to wait inside the clubhouse for a long time.
The noise level from the adjacent street can be quite loud. I have an apartment that is bordered by Metric blvd, which is a pretty busy street. Especially in the living room the traffic is very noisy even with all the doors and windows closed. Also, we are right down the street from a fire station, so several times during the day a firetruck or ambulance will scream by.
The bedrooms in the smaller 2X2 plan can get quite a bit warmer than the living room even with the AC vents open and curtains drawn. I don't know if this is an insulation problem or the fact that the morning sun comes in through our big windows.
The pet policy is kind of crummy. Although the weight limit is nice (100#), if your pet weighs over 25 pounds your deposit triples and you can't have a 2nd dog that weighs over 25 pounds. My deposit was $600 for my 1 dog. Luckily you can split the checks up into 3 separate months.
