Decent place

This is a very decent place to live. Maintenance is very quick about responding to problems, and the office staff is very courteous and friendly. For the rent that I'm paying, it's a fairly reasonable price for the size and quality, compared to other apartments I've looked at recently, although not the cheapest you'll find. I've found the grounds to be reasonably well kept. The apartment was clean when I moved in, no funky smells or dirt or other messiness.
Parking leaves a little bit to be desired... I've had to park a ways away from my apt on several occasions, because the only open spots were in the compact car row, and my SUV wouldn't fit... but hey, exercise is good for you. Also, the walls and ceilings are not overly soundproof, and I've had to talk to my neighbors once about keeping the noise down. But if you're lucky and have good neighbors, noise shouldn't be much of a problem. You do have to pay extra to get a gate-opening button, which I find kind of annoying sometimes, but it's not that hard to deal with if you think of all the other things that could be wrong with the place. The office staff isn't always overly clear about changes in billing and other paperwork issues, so be sure to ask questions about anything you don't understand.
Overall, I would recommend this place. It's a good location with easy access to most things in north Austin, and I'm a little sad to move (it's 20 miles from where I work, and I'm tired of the commute).
