In English
One month ago, a new family moved into the second floor (above our apartment). From the first of September they have made lots of noise. The girl that lives above makes endless noise running, jumping, and hitting the walls. They do not walk, they run and jump. I do not believe that the girl alone is making all that noise, but that her parents are doing it too. They are very rude and I believe that they are racists and are trying to harass us because we are Latinos. I have called the office 7 times. The first time they told me to call back in two weeks since they suspected that the noise was the result of their having moved in.
The noise continued and I called the office again. They said someone would come to hear what they were doing. Despite the racket, they told me it was nothing, that it was normal. She said if my own daughter ran around, she'd sound like that. I told her by own daughter is polite and would not act that way.
When it got intolerable again, I called another time and asked that they send someone to hear the racket that our upstairs neighbors were making. A young man came and listened and told me he believed that I had a legitimate complaint and said he would ask the office to send them a note asking them to quiet down. I believe they did this because the noise from upstairs became normal (rather than noisy) for a short while.
When the noise became intolerable again, I called the office again. The woman that answered knew nothing of the problem and connected me with another woman. I told her once again of the racket from above. When I told her this, she connected me to yet another woman. Interestingly, this woman told me to move to another apartment, perhaps one on the third floor. I suspect that the new people in the office are racists (we lived her for an entire year without problems until they changed the office staff), and I fear that someone will try to harm my daughter, myself, or my husband because at 11:30 at night, not long ago, someone who looked just like the upstairs neighbor knocked on my door (I spied him from the peep hole). He was talking on the cell phone. No one knocks on your door at 11:30 at night!
As I said, I suspect racism. This is the worst I've heard in my life. The people who work on the office at Stonehollow are incredibly rude, unfriendly, and snobby. The former office staff was helpful, sweet, polite, and educated.
I warn all Latinos not to live here. I cannot recommend Stonehollow. Before this place was peacful, but now it is going down hill. Where educated people once were, ignorant bigots now live. It looks to me like they are trying to drive us out because of our race and because they probably could raise the rent to a new renter.
