I have lived here for almost two years.
Yes, it is well located and the interiors are nice but it stops there.
The walls are thin.
Management has refused to deal with noisy neighbors that keep us up all night.
Since I have been here, the building has gone through at least 4 managers.
They seem to be getting worse and worse and care less and less about us residents.
They make me feel like I am crazy when I complain about things like animal feces in the hall! Also, the fire alarm has gone off in the middle of the night at least 6 times since I have lived here.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know because you can go anywhere else in town and pay less to be treated with a bit more respect.
Note: although I gave parking four stars, it is an extra $135 per car per month.
Yes, that is more than anywhere else I have heard of in town.

I totally agree. I moved here 7 months ago only to regret it.I'm only paying for location. The construction for the "W" hotel keeps me up all hours of the night-Don't bother complaining to the management;nothing gets done. And nothing angers me more than paying $600.00 deposit for your beloved pet plus an additional $10.00/month for per rent.IT'S UNHEARD OF!! If my office wasn't 4 blocks from my apt. I would have definately reconcidered my choice. And good luck getting your packages from the office downstairs they once had a box of mine for two weeks and told me day after day I didn't have anything delivered even after I checked the tracking. Just inconsiderated snobs!! Enjoy paying 2 g's for a place you don't want to call home!

First off, no I do not work for AMLI but I do work in commercial management and manage one of the downtown buildings close to AMLI Downtown so I would like to say I know a few things about tenants and how it may sometimes be impossible to please everyone.
Unfortunately, there are only certain things that management can do, legally, about noisy neighbors. Also, animal feces was probably not planted there by management...Unfortunately, your neighbors and residents are being inconsiderate. Again, only so much management can do and they have fines, will send letters, etc. to try and combat this problem. Also, fire alarms are required per the City of Austin. Unfortunately, there are people of less intelligence that think pulling fire alarms is fun for some reason.
In response to the noise with the W Hotel, management CANNOT DO ANYTHING about this. If you have an issue, contact the City of Austin. Furthermore, common sense would tell us that one should expect noise in a downtown setting. Living in the Live Music Capital of the World, one should expect music on 4th, construction, sirens, etc. Also, at my last apartment (not Amli), I was charged $750 for 2 cats, plus $10 per month ($5 each) pet rent. This is not an uncommon practice. I encourage you to look around. Perhaps renting is not for you, please consider looking at purchasing a home instead.

Amli Downtown is HORRIBLE! Bad rich-kid UT students and Noisy!! All you hear all night is Oil Can Harry's. Management does not do anything about loud n-bors. Plus (get ready) everyone lets their DOGS swim in the pool and take big steamy dumps in the common areas (enjoy!!) Snootches!

Sometimes, I wonder if these negative reviews come from management in other communities...
All you can hear is Oil Can Harry's? Do not live downtown... What to you expect management to do? Do you want them to close all bars downtown so you can go to bed?
I have lived there for 2 years, and I have never had any of those issues.
FYI.. I have never seen a dog swimming at the pool

I have pictures and videos of dogs in the pool. Summer time is a free for all. People prop the stair doors open and its pretty much a public pool. I'm suprised we all dont have hepetitis!!!!
