I've lived at the Amli Lantana Ridge apartment for 5 years and can't wait to get out. I say that every year but then for whatever reasons I stay, but this so called new management is giving me the needed push to move.

They've have more management changes than I can count. Because of their ineptness I had to pay a pet fee twice since they claim it was never paid and didn't bother question this until a couple of years later when the money order could no longer be traced! They also claim that there is no move-in sheet so proving that there were issues with the apartment prior to me leasing it will be impossible and this complex is known for screwing the departing tenants. SUGGESTION: hire a cleaning crew, keep the receipt and take loads of pictures.

They make you pay a percentage for water - I pay $30-$50 a month! For an apartment and get this it's sewage that his incredibly high and no one can explain why. I've been waiting nearly a year for a copy of the lease I signed - still don't have it even after numerous promises my management. They never clean the hallways and the areas around the trash cans smell and are always dirty. There are very large rats running around the trash areas and the pool. Snakes are becoming an issue as well.

Thanks to AMD traffic sucks, takes forever to exit in the morning and forever to turn at the light.

I like the inside of my apartment, the design is very nice and my view is great. I like that I feel safe walking my dog at night - don't like walking in all the poop though. For the most part the neighbors are okay.

If you move here you best enjoy: high utility bills, high water bills, no response from management, dirty grounds, rats and snakes, parties at the pool during the work week, traffic, very limited parking due to everyone having 2 or more cars and cars that drive through the complex as if they were NASCAR wannabes.

With rents getting out of control in Austin I was hoping to stay put since I'm moving West next year but paying to be unhappy isn't so cool so SEE YA LATER AMLI, I'll never rent from an AMLI property again.

Sounds like it REALLY went to ---- when I left in 2007. Glad I left when I did. Thanks for making me happy about my decision. Come move up North. The apartments are better (a little more expensive though) but you don't have to deal with South side and AMD crap.

been in this place 2 years... I am right there with you. This place sucks, management is horrible (new one is the same chaos as the old one) and maintenance seems to have been trained by a 30 minutes workshop at the home depot. Thank you Amli for encouraging home ownership...
