It's alright, but I won't renew my lease

Moved in last year, and showed us a nice model. Moved in and "they accidently leased the one we wanted, but said another was available and better, with a garage and washer and dryer, for cheaper." So, we took it. They said it even had a bigger floorplan. The apartment we got was SO not nearly as big as the model we looked at. If you look at the models on rent.com and apartments.com, they have pictures of 2 different apartments for one model! It is such a joke, the apartments do not look like that.
I can hear my neighbor talking and can smell everything they cook. Lucky for me, they don't argue or scream often. But, I can hear their tv. The guy upstairs goes freaking bowling sometimes too. The WORST part about this apartment is that there are about 7 a/c units outside the bedroom window. It vibrates the walls at night and makes the loudest screeching noises you can imagine. I have heard it is hard to move out of here without any problems, so we will see.

On the positive side, the price is good for this area, although they are asking $150 more for another year. We have never had a bug problem and maintenance has always come like 5 minutes after we have reported something. We have a garage, but there is always parking available. The gates do break a lot, but for the most part, they usually are working. I have never seen "shady" people around here either. They are also good about holding packages and stuff.

If you decide to live here, make SURE you know exactly what apartment you are getting. Also, make sure you check out the a/c unit situation and hopefully you can get a garage. The light outside on mopac is SO long too. I think I would move just to get out of waiting 7 minutes every time I am at that light.

The light was long during the construction of the tollroad. It was a super long time but the light is much quicker now. If rent goes up that much on us we will probably move though.
