Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2009
To be fair, I lived in these apartments for a number of years and most of the time I was there was pleasant. At one point, management was friendly and easy to work with. However, that is the past. The last two years have been difficult.
The front office staff is very friendly. However, don't count on that from staff that works with the residents. If you have any problems and promises are made get anal and make the apartment management confirm in writing.
If you are moving in, take pictures of the apartment and use a date stamp. Document the heck out of everything that isn't perfect.
When you move out, count on the fact they have a list of everything that could possibly be wrong. They will throw it all at you to see what sticks. Make sure you clean thoroughly, take lots of pictures and prepare to argue back.
Don't think you'll be treated better because you have lived there. That isn't whats important to AMLI.
One last note: be wary of the gate. It frequently doesn't work. It also has issues when the electricity goes out and can easily trap you inside or lock you out. Recommend keeping a flashlight in your car as well. The magnet doors that lead into the various units close when there is a storm. When the electicity goes out, getting into your apartment can be more than a little fun.
Bottom line - these are very corporate type apartments. The name of the game is quick money. Don't expect these apartments to look good too much longer.
