So we've been here for probably about 10 months now, and i know for sure NONE of us (we have a 3 br) will be renewing...i really want to know what the rest of these reviewers on here have to do to get maintenance to show up on time, because i wish they'd be prompt and timely with our repairs!
I have a HUGE problem with safety and security here, my car was broken into several months ago and all the office had to say was, "We're sorry, don't leave your valuables in the car." You know what the thefts actually stole' My stereo FACEPLATE (not the speakers) and a 24 PACK OF BOTTLED WATER, the idiocy of it is phenomenal, the police believes it was probably just some hoodlum kids (which tend to run the gamut around this shoddy neighborhood). My room-mate also had his bike stolen from the bike racks 2 WEEKS after he got it for his birthday and the management AGAIN assumed no responsibility. I've talked to several of my neighbors in just our bldg alone and atleast 3 other cars have all been broken into in the past few months as well. The management continues to do nothing about the obvious and disturbing lack of security here.
There is NO safety or security here, the lights in all the corridors are ALWAYS burnt out, the outside locks into the apts are ALWAYS broken, atleast one of my appliances breaks down once a month, and the apts are really just disgusting. I couldn't even bring myself to take a shower/bath until i scrubbed mine with bleach and ajax 3 TIMES after we moved in. The onsite laundry rooms lights are usually burnt out (not fun at nighttime) and more often than not they WILL steal your quarters. The pool...ew...I just don't understand how the pool can be RIGHT OUTSIDE the office and they apparently can never see what's growing in the pool. Disgusting.
It's just LAUGHABLE the way these apts are taken care of, or actually, NOT taken care of. They say you get what you pay for, but in the Abbey Road apts that phrase is unfortunately NOT TRUE. Save your money and move down the road and get something that's actually worth your money!
