It might be more affordable than most other apartments, but Abbey Rd disappoints in oh so many ways. I've only been living here for 6 1/2 months and cannot wait for my lease to end so I can get out. The washers in the laundry room are sooo frequently out of order, the shower pressure fluctuates, and the fridge and dish washer are really old. One of my biggest problems' I can never take a full shower with hot or even warm water! Sure, the staff is very nice and understanding. That is one point where abbey road shines, but the apartments aren't worth the money. The only way I'd consider staying is if I got a $200 discount on my rent. Oh, and mid-contract, they started charging me for gas and waste disposal. That is not what I call professional. I signed the lease because if offered free gas, cable, and waste disposal. I would also prefer my own water and gas contracts, as it seems the bill is split between the whole complex. I don't use a lot of water and hardly ever use my stove. Bottom line is, it's cheap, but you know what they say, "you get what you pay for."
