Act VII apartments is a f#@king nightmare. They don't have on-site management, for one thing. And the management they have had for a few years, Lynx Properties, is terrible. For the past five months they've had crews of non-English-speaking men scraping, pounding, scraping, pounding, painting, fixing, doing this or that all over the building. On Thanksgiving Day crews were pounding and scraping the wall six inches the other side of the head of my bed!!! They continued to do that all day long that day. When I asked them what they were doing, that it was a holiday (obviously not for them) they replied with shrugs and s#!t-eating grins saying "Eh... no Ingles." I think I would shoot myself if I had to stay here any longer, but thankfully I will be moving soon. FAR AWAY FROM ACT VII APARTMENTS!!!
They, like most apartment bunches, will lure you in with some -------- diatribe and cheap rent, but you get what you pay for. They'll be telling you they have to come inside your apartment for no reason, even worse, there will be droves of people you don't know. One guy came to my door recently (thankfully he COULD speak English) asking to come inside my apartment. Didn't say why until I asked. He said my bathtub was leaking. I said, "Uh, NO, it's not." and he asked if I was sure. OMG.
Whatever. Just ask anyone who lives here how much sleep they get on their days off and they'll laugh and tell you they don't get any thanks to the constant noise from scrapers, hammers, sprayers and air compressors.
Oh, and you can rent a better place down the street for $100 less now that Act VII has jacked its rent up.
The only laundry facilities are across the street. Their machines are at least 20 years old and smell like rotten meat inside. I've been washing my clothes in my sink for the past four years.
Last year, on Christmas Day, I came home to find my living room ceiling had collapsed because water came through the roof during a heavy rain. I had been calling the management at least a month prior to this, nearly begging them to fix the roof because I was concerned more so for the building itself, I had no idea that my living room would be ruined (see picture). Nice Christmas present Act VII. Thanks a lot. They could have fixed the roof. They SHOULD have fixed the roof!
THIS PLACE SUCKS.
