We've lived here at least 3.5 yrs. Too bad, we had to move out after ALARA bought this place. Staffs are terrible. Like someone said, there is a MALE staff. OMG...This guy is really mean, rude, attitude... to my daughter . We couldn't stay , we couldn't understand how could they hire someone is unprofessional like this guy. He looks very young, but his personality is the worse. I've never seen anyone like him in my whole life. You're really unlucky to let him handle your problems. He always give out wrong informs. Called and ask for sending someone to check on our AC. He've never reported or sending someone to come over. There are many residents also having the same problems like us, they also complained about HIM and the new managements. The service totally went DOWN after they TOOK over and changed name to ALARA. There is NO helpful staffs
If anyone really wants to move here, just take a moment to think about. We were victims. We don't want you facing the same problems like we had enough with this new management. The apt complex is really OLD, stinky carpets. Just look new outside, and inside actually, they just paint over to show the fresh look, but actually everything need to change especially AC system. Not yet, hot water isn't enough.

Our bills were always high. We weren't home much and NOT turn on AC off /on. We set up AUTO -80 when we weren't home. Water bill, sewer... are high as well when we compared our bills with our friends who live at different place, different apt complex, their bills never run high, even they have more people than us.

For all of you, please think about it. You think this place is cheap, but it's NOT. Other apt complexes around this location, rents seem highter, but they have more features...those you can't ever find here, ALARA at Canyon CREEK. Don't look on $$$, but you have to look on other future saving cost in the long run...such as water bill, electric bill...you will be surprised. We loved our new place. We just moved to different apt complex, just near by this one. Staffs are friendly and always sending someone to help us out if we 're having any problem. Our bills are cheaper than we had before at ALARA.

To all of Apt locators, if you read this, please don't send people here, ALARA. Try to find them another place with a friendly, nicely service...where at they can find a real home.

For those who are out of state, if you're reading this one, don't make a mistake like us, we were from out of state and moved over here about 3.5 yrs ago. If you have any locator, make sure tell him/her... you don't want this one.

Another thing, I forgot to mention... when you move out, you will be surprised with a FINAL bill they send you...HIGH... and ripe off.

Obviously this person has issues with the new management. The management staff is not over friendly, but they are not indifferent when a request for service is made. Personally, I keep to myself and do not have to deal with management very often, if at all. In 3 years the only complaint I have is with the new landscaping and the enormous amount of security lighting. The landscaping problem started when handicap sidewalks were put in all over the complex. The problem with that is the sidewalks covered some of the green areas and are so out of the way no one ever uses them. Some of the ramps were moved so they are actually more difficult to access. The landscape went from natural to a more pruned looked. Some beautiful redbud trees, shrubs and cactus that bloom once a year were removed, so this Spring it will not be as nice around here as usual. The complex still looks nice, just more groomed. There is way too much lighting around here. Night time is like day there is so much. I suppose that makes some feel safer, but one reason I moved out here was to get away from the city a little where I could see the stars at night. That is not possible in this complex. My utility bills are pretty low especially compared with friends who live elsewhere. I keep my place comfortable, but I am pretty conservative and do not run the AC 24/7 like some of my neighbors do. Some run the AC even when it is 40 degrees outside. Overall this is a nice quiet clean secure place to live and if you are a person who keeps to yourself and is clean I recommend it.
