Think twice before leasing here!

Where do I start' I really wish Trinity/Alara did not take over this community as it was a lot better before they took over. I have been a resident for three years now so I know what I am talking about. Let me tell you about my experience living here. Most of this is all since Trinity took over.
1. Have a noise complaint' Call the courtesy officer and leave a message and hope to get a call back. If you call late about a loud resident, they will call YOU back first waking you up again if you were able to fall back asleep. The courtesy officer will walk by the area you called in about and if he doesn't hear anything he doesn't do anything. You might hear a loud stereo inside your apartment and he doesn't hear it outside so there is no problem. He might knock on your door and ask to hear the noise you reported. I have called 911 four times, the office and courtesy office at least a dozen times on my neighbor for fighting, loud music and banging on walls. It still happens to this day. Management doesn't do enough to make it stop. So they gave them a violation, ohh big deal. That apparently means nothing.
2. Want to take you trash to the compactor on the weekend' Be ready to be overtaken by the sight and stench of rotting garbage that sits there from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning because no one operates the compactor. I reported them to the Health and Sanitation Department on this one because every time I complained about the trash all over the place I was told the compactor was broken. It looks like the threat of a fine from the city got them to start fixing this problem for now.
3. Have a dog and want to run them around without a leash and let them dump all over the place' Well this is the place to do it. People let their dogs run loose EVERYDAY! I was chased two times and I saw another resident get chased by a dog. This was reported to management but people still leave the crap on the ground and the dogs run loose. What more do I need to do besides tell them what building and what kind of dogs they are' The have records and need to search them for the offenders.
4. Don't have a garage or covered parking' Good luck finding parking. My neighbor has two cars and a motorcycle and take three spots. One family has eight people living in their apartment and four cars. You will have to park in the handicap spot and the spots for handicap people with ramps like everyone else does. I feel sorry for any handicap people who live here.
5. Like to hear other people bumping music from their car' Well great! Live here. I have reported the license plate, make and model of cars with loud music that rumble through the parking lot at midnight and nothing has been done to stop it. It still occurs to this day.
5. And last but not least. I was really happy when I saw the maintenance man spit his tobacco spit into my kitchen sink while I was standing right next to him. At least he was classy enough to turn the faucet on and rinse the sink afterward.
The prices here have been going up constantly. After my first year they (not Trinity) tried to raise my rent by $150 a month for a studio!! Yes, $150, that is not a typo. I talked them down to $75. The next year it went up $25 per month and now this year they want a $35 increase. They will not get that.
With all these problems I don't see how they can expect me to stay any longer. But they will just get some other high paying person in there since the new university is going up behind the complex. Oh you didn't know' Concordia took over back there and they are building new buildings. There are now a lot of college age people trying to move in so expect more partying and beer cans and cig butts all over the property. Each Monday morning when I go to my garage there are at least 20 butts in front of my drive from the balconies above it. This was reported to management but, like all my other complaints, nothing has been done. People have no regard to keeping the area clean (as an example the dog crap everywhere).
Maybe I am being discriminated against. I got told I cannot wash my car in the parking lot, while using the water from my kitchen sink. Funny how I see the girls on the other end of the building washing her car every weekend and they don't tell her to stop.
We got a letter on our doors saying we cannot park bikes in the breezeways or under the stairs and people must clean up after their dogs. Too bad they don't follow through with penalties because there have been three bikes parked under the stairs since before that letter went out.
Maybe it's because I am a single, white, male. If you are too, maybe they will discriminate against you, too. I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the incredibly high water bill. I reported a busted toilet and that months water bill TRIPLED in usage. When I showed them my previous six months worth of water bills with a usage of under 900 gallons they said 'We'll take a look at it". That months water bill showed me using 2400 gallons of water!
Hopefully my complaint with the Attorney Generals Office gets seen before I move out.
