Years at this apartment:

i've lived at Alicante for almost two years now. these are nice apartment that are very new. most people that live here are very friendly. the staff however leaves much to be desired.
from the begining there were red flags about how it was going to be when the staff could not get the paper work right. the female leasing agent is rude, and incompetent; she talks to tenents like they are stupid. good luck ever speaking to the manager bcs she avoids tenants like the plague. last spring i spent the entire weekend w/no ac. i called the minute the ac stopped working, but finally on monday when i went back to the office to see what was taking so long, the female leasing agent had the nerve to tell me i never called--like i wanted to spend the weekend in heat. the manager, the maintenance man, and one leasing agent live on property, i assume they get a discounted apartment to "keep an eye on things" but at Alicante this is apparently not the case bcs most of the lights on the buildings are out or blink constantly. i guess they don't check out the property after 5:00. during the past two years that it has frozen here in austin no one bothered to put salt or sand in any of the entrances, so several tenants got their cars stuck. perhaps to some people these things are not a big deal, but for the price, this stuff should not be happening.
