Volente Villas recently had yet another management change, and this managment changed a lot of things, including the name!

This is what I wrote about them:
New Management not giving back deposit -
Earlier in the year the new/current management sent out an announcement that if we could not prove that we had paid our deposit, that they would keep it. We only had about a week to respond, and I was unable to find my records from 3 years ago that quickly. I have been a resident here for 3 years, and know that I paid my deposit. How else would I be living here'
Disorganized Management -
The new/current management accused us of owing them over $700 in late fees. When I went to resolve the issue, they were not unkind, but obviously very disorganized. They removed the late fees when they discovered that someone had changed our apartment to a 2 bedroom instead of a 1 bedroom in their books. I was not surprised that they could not find record of anyone's deposit, either.
Serious Construction Issues -
The apartment that we live in is on the third story and had a great view of some trees. Mid spring, the undeveloped property that we looked at was bought, and demolished for who knows what. We now look at the highway, which we could not even see before, and the variety of birds were replaced with a large abundance of black grackles. Unfortunatlly, this has been the case ALL AROUND the complex. When we moved in 3 years ago, the surrounding property was empty. Just about EVERYTHING, has been bought, and has large amounts of construction happening right now. This will not be a quite part of Austin much longer.
Bad Car Towing -
Recently, this apartment complex posted that they would tow all cars that were damaged or had tags that were out of date. My tags were in date, therefore my car was not towed, but they did tow many working cars who had out of date tags. Not only that, they did not give anyone the 48 hours to reply that they had promised before towing. They towed in 24 hours.
Last year my friend who was visiting us from Japan had her car towed in the middle of the night and we had to hunt it down in another city to get it out of impound. It was towed because she was parked in a spot that was only "next" to a Visitor parking spot.
