I dont live here but my spouse does. I had my vehicle broken into and was told there was nothing they can do about it, except for me to call the police (and you know how the police are...never helpful...)
anyways, i lost a good amount of stereo equipment and found out that there have been SEVERAL robberies at the HILLS OF LANTANA...a brand new BMW was found without wheels, sitting on blocks...
Management does NOTHING to prevent this. There is NO SECURITY or cameras in place to prevent robbery/theft...the Hills At Lantana apartments are located not too far away from trailer park homes and low-income housing. These people like to rob/steal from these apartments...
Recently, management was robbed. The computer room and gym was broken into and many items were stolen. This FORCED them to face the issue and place cameras within THEIR area to protect THEIR valuables...
The residents STILL HAVE NO SECURITY...and its sad when the managers get ROBBED and still do almost NOTHING about it...
This place sucks and the construction keeps us up on the weekend mornings. It starts before 7 AM (which I thought was ILLEGAL) and goes on until nightfall, everday except for Sundays.
If you like to get robbed, and if you like alot of construction noise, this apartment place if for you. We will be thrilled once the lease is up and can move away from this TRAP....

I just relocated from Dallas, and I am looking into moving into Lantana Hills. I know that it is terrible when anyone has a crime happen to them, but to sound cliche "crime has no address". If you research your communities before you move in, and check the crime rates by contacting your local police department, you will see that you have an average of two or more cimes that happen each month on any apartment community.
I used to live in a community with gated entry, only one entry & exit gate that had a security guard out front, and we still had one crime happen each week. I've come to learn that a robber/criminal is going to hit the high-end properties for hopes of getting more out of the offense. Usually people with more money & valuables pay higher rents...why wouldn't this attract crime?
Do you research on any communities you are considering and there shouldn't be any surprises.
