I have lived at the Hills at Lantana for two years now, and have to say that I have been very satisfied doing so. Sure I had some water damage issues in my first apartment, but the staff went out of their way to move me to another apartment. I have read the other reviews dealing with bugs, noisy air conditioners, robberies, and the lack of insulation, but these problems are going to arise no matter which complex you live in.
The bugs are a part of the hill country environment. Anytime you try and become "one with nature," you should expect nature to become one with you. The management staff has always been more than willing to schedule an exterminator, and most of the time that seems to resolve the issue.
As far as the noise goes, I'm fairly certain that the builders could have used more insulation, but noise is something that comes with sharing a common wall. My neighbors are loud sometimes, but so am I. I have yet to hear them having personal conversations or coughing, but I do hear the occasional thud. Yes the air conditioners can be loud if you are standing right underneath or beside the unit itself, but they are not any louder than any other place I have lived.
The number of high end automobiles in the complex is going to make it a target for burglary, but the apartments were built right across SW Parkway from $500,000 - $1,000,000 homes so the theives are already going to be in the area. Management has taken the appropriate steps to safeguard personal property by installing closed circuit serveillance, and every appartment comes pre-wired for a home security alarm. Saying that management doesn't care about the residents or their property is not fair at all.
Overall the complex is a mix of young and middle-aged financially sound adults. Sure the complex has its faults, but it also has its perks. The setting is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the luxury apartments are just that, apartments. Those that are looking for the perfect house need to buy a house, but those looking for a high end luxury apartment complex are going to find a great deal.

I think management must have written this about themselves.
