I am very happy with the apartments here.
The noise is minimal, higher in summer due to kids out of school. The crime is very minimal as well, Austin PD has this apt community rated as one of the lowest in the city.
No problem with bugs inside, just fireants outside. I feel very safe here, I am confident in letting my kids play outside and walking outside by myself at night. Lots of good lighting.
The landscaping could be better inside the complex instead of the street visible areas but what do you expect for a 1 bdr 375 and a three bedroom 710'
There are two pools and they have only been closed two maybe three times a year for cleaning and maintenance.
The fitness center was closed for a couple of weeks due to vandalization. The equipment was replaced with brand new ones, the floor redone and new lights and A/C. Alot better than it was before.
The maintenance could be better, I have had to put in numerous requests and sometimes end up fixing it myself.
As far as one of the apartment buildings burning down it was one apartment on the top floor and it didn't affect any of the neighbors apartments.
I am renewing my lease for another year and recommend this property to anyone who wants a nice place to live.
The schools are great, especially the middle and high school. The high school-Westwood is rated 36th in the nation for test scores and third in the nation for IB and Honors test scores.
