I have been at Argosy for about 6 months now. All and all I can't complain too much about the apartment. For Austin, it is about average. But I will list the major set backs. It is not in a very good neighborhood. There are consistantly homeless people on nearby corners. It is located off of Lamar, which is convenient, but can be a pain. There is always traffic, and the street light going from Justin to Lamar lasts forever. The nearest grocery store is a ghetto Randalls. If you ride the bus onto campus, the 101 is great, but the number 1 is HORRIBLE. You make about a million stops and you won't ever have a seat. The kitchens are dated. The water pressure is ridiculous. The sink barely lets out a trickle. The management is decent. Actually the biggest complaint i have is our upstairs neighbors. We have nicknamed them Olga and Helga b/c they always sound like they are about to fall through the floor, especially when they go into their kitchen (which is very VERY often, perhaps this is the problem). None the less, I don't doubt this is a problem for everyone not living on a top floor.
This property does have nice enough grounds though, it isn't too far from school, and the ceilings are high which makes the apts feel bigger. If only it wasn't soo expenssive. That is why I will not be staying here. If you can afford it and don't mind living in a gateless community, i recomment this property.
