These apartments are a little nicer than most places closer to the UT campus, and they attract a lot of older students and graduate students. The office staff are extremely nice at leasing time, of course, but that is the only time you'll see that side of them. Once you're locked into a lease, the management (especially Anna) are dishonest and manipulative. To get you to renew your lease, they will tell you that they are ready to offer your apartment to another person who is on a waiting list (as though they have one!) and will threaten to raise your rent substantially unless you renew well in advance. The worst experience, though, was at the end of our second lease, when Anna personally visited our apartment to do a "move-out" check and cheerfully told us that we may have to pay $30 or so for a couple of imperfections we failed to document on our move-in checklist two years prior. A couple of weeks later we received a bill for over $200 for a ridiculous list of maintenance costs. Not only was this the first time in my life that I've ever had to pay a dime on move-out, but I received a ridiculously large bill for things that were NOT my responsibility to pay for.

These people need to be sued one day. Unfortunately, they can get away with unfair business practices because they cater to so many students who have neither the time nor money to legally defend themselves.

The apartments themselves are typical, no-frills, and marginally maintained. I personally had no major problems with the interiors. What I didn't like was the management's laissez-faire attitude toward the behavior of its tenants. Several of the large-dog owners let their animals poop all over the property without ever cleaning up after them. Does the management do anything to stop them' No. A hanging plant on my porch was stolen and ended up on display on another tenant's balcony. When I asked the office for help, they didn't lift a finger to intervene.

These people don't care about you and they will try to screw you over when they find out that you're vacating. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE. It's not worth it! If you don't believe me, read the other reviews!
