Let me begin by saying that the staff is EXCELLENT--Linda has excellent management and demonstrates professionalism and fairness at all times. She is direct and doesn't beat around the bush. Anna is the same and professional and pleasant. I have never come into the office and seen any of the staff working there in a bad mood or disposition. Alfredo is awesome!

As w/ any apartment, you have some given things that I feel in other reviews I've read, the complex is getting slammed for--those are things beyond their control. The complex is near a fire station--Argosy has no control over that! In essence, this is a good thing--if the property were to have a fire emergency, the response time is 5 min. or less!
NOISE: The complex is quiet. As w/ any apartment, they have policies regarding noise that are fair. I have never had a neighbor that has been unreasonable. Management isn't there to coddle tenenats either--they can only do so much. If you are living in an apartment, there is going to be noise. This complex is quiet.
PARKING: I have never had any issues w/ the parking or parking policies. Units closer to the building are reserved for residents and I beleive rightfully so. There are reminders telling you that if your vehicle is not in the designated parking, you will be towed. Towing is enforced. I was without my vehicle due to repairs and I parked along the fence for those few days and had no problem w/ that. Walking the complex is no issue. The complex is not very large, so if guests come, they don't have far to walk. The only minor setback is if you live in the front, those spaces fill up quickly--that is minor.
MAINTENANCE: Maintenance is excellent. They always leave notification if your apartment is entered and the time it to took to complete maintenance. Requests are completed in most cases the same day or the following day--I have never had a problem.
LOCATION: The location is great! Its flexible for students (I was one during my time and used the bus line) It was very stress free.
SECURITY: APD patrols regularly. Minor incidents have occurred--beyond the control of management. Management has followed up by issuing bulletins, safety tips, and increased the presence of law enforcement.
PRICE: The price is very reasonable for the location and area.
UNITS: The units are well kept and spacious and were built in the 80's, but are extremely nice. The up keep is impeccable!
*****The only reason I moved is because of my job. I would have still been there if the commute were realistic. I highly recommend Argosy! For what I have to pay in my new place, a 1-1, I was in a 2-1 at Argosy! I have lived in several of the units and I loved them all!*****

"Beyond the controls of the management" is --------. Cars are broken into just about every weekend. They have security cameras WITHOUT TAPE IN THEM. That shows you not only how lazy they are, but that they just don't care. They could put a gate up. They could do something to keep the homeless people out. They could install better lighting. But don't tell me that security is beyond the control of the management when it should be their #1 responsibility and concern. Other than that - I cannot believe that you lived there for 8 years and they didn't price you out of your unit. I have lived there for a year and they want to increase my rent $100 because that's the supposed market value for Austin. NOT THAT AREA - for Austin. I can only conclude that you're the little troll from the management office because NObody could like this complex that much.
