Several things to consider before making a decision about Ashbury Park:

When you sign your lease you basically sign away your rights is Ashbury Park's belief. It is not until you do some extensive research on your own that you can actually get someone to respond to a leak or damage or noise , well just about anything in a timely manner.

example: we have been without hot water for well over a week now and previously we had a leak in our utility room that went on for over a month. the ramifications alone caused so much discomfort and health problems.

Of our deposit, only a maximum of 250 is returned. This community keeps 50 dollars of your deposit for "filing purposes", is what I was told. Sounds more like a nice commission for filling out paperwork and making copies.

In only a year of living here we had serious problems with noise, high transient traffic, damage to our vehicles and surprisingly arson, when a vehicle just outside our apartment was set on fire. If you have a family, I recommend you look for a safer place even if it does cost a bit more.

The Worst Apartments I have ever lived. I have been robbed, stabbed, attacked, threatened, and harrased on a daily basis and the apartment managers could care less and they are rude. Even after all that they wont let me out of my lease or let me transfer. My wife took my soon away because this place is so run down and dangerous, and yet the managment doesnt care. I also cant get any thing fixed and i ahve filled out 30 work orders and yet my bath tub still leaks. So Basically if you like living with convicts and crackheads and constant fear of your life Then ashbury is the place for you!!!!
