I live here along with my 5 yr old. Many people have asked me if this is a good place to live, and the answer i give them is "I wouldnt live here with my child if it wasn't". The property is small (about 150 units) and very quaint. On weeknights and weekends it's quiet. I havent had any problems with anyone tampering with my car, or strangers approaching me. Having the community gated helps me to feel a little more secure. My electric bill is never more than $45 a month and my rent is below the Austin average and the property pays for my cable and water. I love the screened in balcony because i can leave my back door open all day and have the breeze blow through. The pool is fabulous especially now that they are putting in new tile around the pool. Yes, the property is an older property, but you can tell that the management co. and owners are taking good care of it. The front of the property has a picnic area where a lot of tenants gather around and light the grill or play basketball/vollyball. You cannot beat the price for the location. I am less than 10 minutes from UT and Central Market! Two minutes from Hwy. 183 and I-35 and maybe 4 minutes from mopac! My neighbors are awesome. I never see anyone hanging out in the parking lot drinking beer. Or hear the base of anyone's music at night. The management is extremely helpful. They are good about signing for packages if i am not home to accept, sending a fax when i need one, and addressing any maintenance or property problems. I have never had any roach problems, but again, i take my trash out, sweep/mop my floors and clean my apartment. I've moved three times within the property and never had a problem with my security deposit because i simply clean my apartment and made sure nothing was broken (as you should do with any apartment). All in all i highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good place to live at a reasonable price who isnt hung up on a workout room or clubhouse.
