think twice about living here

I would definately think twice about living here. It can be a good place if you pay your rent and any fees the management feels fit to charge you (which you will be surprised what she charges for). If you cross the manager in a negative way she will make your life a living hell. If you agree to everything she says (even if you dont) she'll leave you alone. Management does NOT treat everyone the same. There is a handful of favorite residents who can get away with anything. Do not talk to the staff or they will be terminated or put on probation. You can pretty much get away with things because the manager really does not leave the office, and the maintenance staff will take bribes. Basically the apartments are what you pay for.

This is just ridiculous. I lived there for years. I talked and visited with the staff all the time and they never got terminated. What in the heck would anyone be trying to get away with, anyway. I never had any surprising charges .. never .. in all the years I lived there. Duh. You DO have to pay your rent on time. And, what would anyone be trying to get away with, anyway? Those kind of scammers really don't deserve to live in such a wonderful place. The landscaping is lush! The staff like it so much, they live there. Many long-term happy residents, residents who are responsible adults, who don't try to get away with a darn thing. Geez!

You all must be the handful of residents the manager likes. Or, let me guess, she gives out movie passes to those residents who write nice things on this website so the approval rating goes up.
But, ask anyone who had to move out because of loss of job, change in school, bought a house, got married etc. People who had legitimate reasons for moving out and gave proper notice. Ask them about their deposit. Ask them about the move out charges and how ridiculous they are. Or ask the leasing person in the office how the application process works and he'll tell you it really doesnt matter if you completely qualify, but instead if the manager likes you. The staff lives there because they do not qualify to live anywhere else, and the manager does not live there. Sure, it can be a nice place to live obiviously if you pay your rent (which- duh! - makes sense to do anywhere you live) and mind your own business. But, if you are looking for a temporary place (if you are a student, or saving to buy a house, or might be relocating) then, this is not the place to be. But, if you plan on living in an apartment for the rest of your life and do not want to move, then this might work. Unless you have a fixed income because your rent will go up with the market rate. If in doubt, just call the Better Business Bureau and read the complaints that have been filed.
