I moved into this complex in 1999. At the time it was great -- the people in the office knew what was going on and problems got fixed easily. Now the office staff has changed so much that I never know the name of them and they really have no idea what to do most of the time. Kids destroy the landscape, each apartment has a family of 20 living it, only one maintenance guy speaks English and understands how to fix things (a knife once went through my living room window -- when the night guy finally came out he just looked at me and I had to suggest maybe he put something up to seal the hole), and the pools get so dirty from everyone not washing that they have to close them every other day to treat them. Don't live here. Seriously.

Are you still living at this community? 1999-2006 is a long time. Next, I would like to stress that if you stayed with us this long, this is actually a compliment. The Austin Parke Apartment staff and community must be doing something right! Our office is staffed with three professionals and our maintenance staff has the required number of personnel as well. I have yet to be asked to repeat my name, or as of the current day, to introduce myself again to our current residents. I am also a part of the new staff (since Sept 2005).
The incident involving a knife through your window did not occur during current management's employment. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for this post and my opportunity to discuss the new landscaping that current management has been working hard to modify. Unfortunately, we have the same problems as any other community involving unsupervised children in the late evenings when the staff has left for the day. We are doing everything in our power to help keep our community looking beautiful! As for the swimming pools, they are cleaned on a regular basis according to the City of Austin's guidelines and are only closed when necessary repairs or shock treatments are needed which is for your safety.

I lived there for several years as well, right over the office in fact, and from the time I moved in to the time I left, the quality of service went dramtically downhill.
