I have lived here since Feb 2007 in an upstairs corner apt. I love my apartment and get many compliments on it from all my friends and family. I have had few instances with roaches but that only happened after the 2 apartments downstairs moved out and maintenance was cleaning- I guess the previous occupants were not very clean to say the least, but I never had issues out of them while they were there. The "bugs" went away in about a week- and mind you I only saw about 5 little and 1 big roach during the whole time I have been here. I have had very few things wrong with my apartment but when something does come up- no matter what time of the day or night - I get a response and it is taken care of. one thing I do not like is the fact that when I moved in I signed a lease saying that the apartments pay gas, but now we are going to start paying for it- which sucks considering the only gas I would ever use is for me and my 4 year old son use to take hot showers, but yet it is being split evenly between the number of residents listed on each apartments lease- the same way that is done with the water. I do have issues with seeing apartments that you know only have 2-3 people listed on the lease actually having 5-10 people living there. My water bill is 30-40 a month and we only take showers and wash dishes- I wash clothes off site. So I basically pay for all the people not listed on the lease to wash their clothes/dishes/bodies and whatever else. There is security and I have not had any issues with break ins or anything of that matter- I kind of got a little mad when I got a knock on my door from the security officer on a Sunday morning around 11am telling me to turn down the music, (which isn t that loud- I have a small radio), and then I received a letter from the office saying I was in violation of my lease for the music. I guess it is good they are cracking down to help the apartments reach the standards they want them to reach, but to my defense I live on the second floor in a corner apartment- no one lives next door to me and the 2 apartments under me were both empty- and it was the after noon, there was no vulgar words being said and the music was slower R&B style. But anyway, I hate paying that high of water bills and guess I am going to have to start cooking so I can take advantage of the gas I am going to have to pay for whether I use it or not. I have no complaints AT ALL about the management; staff or maintenance. I have had a great experience here and have been treated very fairly- I have no issues with people out in the parking lots or any of these horror stories I have read on here. I would NOT have moved in here if I would have read this site first but am very happy that I was not given a chance to read this and was not swayed by these people s stories. Geri is a great manager and her staff has all been wonderful and always helpful. Plus my bills are extremely low- electric at its highest is $75; cable/internet/phone- $115 a month. It is worth ever penny to live here. My son is 4 and he can actually go out and play here- of course with my supervision- but that is to show you it is not bad- he would not be out side at all if it was as horrible as all these people say. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
