I've lived at Austin Trail for a year and like it a lot. I live at the front of the complex and it is very quiet. The best part is the management. They are super friendly. I've never lived in a complex where the office staff cares enough to have parties, dinners, Sat. breakfast and various activites for their residents.
The apartment is pet friendly and most people pick up after their pets pretty well. The workout room is ok for an aparment complex, but I wish they had another elliptical machine and treadmill and some free weights. The pool is nice. The sand volleyball court is nice now that there is fresh sand in there. I like the bbq pit and picnic table too. I like the fact that they reserve an apt to rent out to resident's guests. The management is good about routine checks on fire extinguishers and fire alarms in your apt.
The apartment itself was very clean and spacious. Oftentimes you can see deer in the greenbelt. Most residents are friendly too.
The only negative things are that the maintenance guy looks a little shady and takes a little too long to fix anything. It is also difficult to find close parking at night. There are too many unecessary handicapped spots that are never used. The complex is gated and is pretty safe for the most part. Within the year that I've lived there, there was one instance where several people had there tires slashed and another instance where I saw two cars broken into.
Overall, I would highly recommend Austin Trail. The manager, Kim is super nice. There used to be another girl named Carrie there who was very friendly too, but she left. I don't know her replacement, Natalie, very well, but so far she seems nice. They all show a lot of respect and care for their residents. I'm sure that as long as the manager, Kim, stays there, Austin Trail will continue to be a great place to live.
