I've lived in five different apartment complexes since I moved to Austin, and Austin Trail is the nicest one by far.
I've lived here for a year now and I just renewed my lease for another year. The design of the complex is great, the appliances are new, and I'm always getting compliments on the wood floors. Another perk is that the complex has a sprinkler system, which means if your neighbor falls asleep with a lit cigarette you don't have to worry about the whole building burning down. The pool and the gym are small, but still nice. I wish there was a hot tub, but that's a minor detail.
The people who live here are very friendly and classy, for the most part. It's definitely a younger crowd - I'd say mostly college students, recent grads, or young professionals. There are a lot of luxury cars in the parking lot, which sounds superficial, but I have to say it's a nice change from the junk cars that plagued my apartment on Riverside. Also, since the complex is located off the freeway, you don't get a lot of strange people walking around the complex who don't live here - this was a huge problem in Far West. I've never felt unsafe here, even when I come home late at night.
There are some minor annoyances, but they are not nearly as bad as what you'll find at other complexes. For example - since it's located so close to a shopping center, you'll hear trucks and fork lifts at 3am, I just turn on a fan at night to drown out the noise. And there is the occasional bad neighbor - like one who walks her annoying barking dogs at all hours of the night, or the ones who leave their garbage outside their door, or the guys who walk around the complex with their shirts off - what's up with that' But I try not to get annoyed by the little things when the complex is an all-around great place to live.
The rent is a little pricey, but considering how nice this place is, I think it's a pretty fair deal. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

I'm definitely NOT management, did you even read the review? You are obviously not a resident here. My guess is that you're either a bitter tenant who didn't pay their bills or you work at another complex. I'm a night owl, and I've gone to work out in the gym or check my mail between midnight and 2am countless times, there's NEVER anyone outside, and I've never felt unsafe. On Saturday nights some people will have small parties on their balconies, but that's it. You obviously haven't lived in many apartment complexes - believe me, try and live in 95% of the apartments in Austin and you'll be begging to come back to Austin Trail.

Yes, I must be a bitter tenant because that makes more sense than this being a management review. Do you notice how it's their style to praise the place to the hilt, and then at the end to put in a little something bad so it looks like a balanced, non -management review?

You can tell this is someone who works in the office and benefits from marketing the complex. A resident would not have written all of this hoopla! It's not realistic. If management has to go to these links to lease apartments, you should probably consider looking elsewhere. Desperation is never an attractive place to be.
