Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
This was the lesser of 3 evils when we came to Austin to look for an apartment. We found it through an apartment finder who was very honest about our budget and what we would be getting for it. The apartment we rented here was okay at first: huge rooms, extra storage, in okay shape for 40 years old. After a few weeks the airconditioner started POURING WATER into the hallway. It filled a keg buckets 3 times before anyone came to even look at it let alone fix it! The manager we had the most trouble with apparently pissed everyone off so she was gone within 3 months, but still managed to lie on 3 occasions to us and everyone else about the "free" water we were supposed to recieve. she called me a liar about a few other things which just doesn't seem good for buisness. i felt a little safe there except for the 2 police forensic unit vans i saw one morning and the gate that was always broken. but our rent was $400 a month and we didn't completely hate our 10 months there. the right place to move if you're desperate and can take inconvienences of an older property.
