Let the free market determine your anticipated service level... then run like hell from this place.
The water bills are stupid, made even better by the fact that you're staring at dead lawns because the sprinklers are broken. Factor in at least $75 to $100 extra a month based on this.
Don't plan on taking out trash from Thursday to Monday afternoon - you might as well just chuck it in the street like everyone else does.
Their "car wash" facility doesn't work, it just eats quarters.
Parking' Forget about parking. I even had a garage (granted, it was 1/4 mile away). Unless you get home at 4:30 in the afternoon, plan on hiking around for a bit.
To those of you looking for somewhere to live, please... just skip Escalon and Avendaro, there's comparable complexes on the same street, with nicer apartments that don't smell like dog, and better management staff. And they're the same when it comes to rent.
If you do lease, or recently have leased, from those crooks at a Sentinel property - and are saying "it doesn't seem like this" come back and read this 6 months later...

Ok so here's the deal I have no issue with avendaro office staff is nice and engaging same goes for maintenance staff and this who are complaining about rent and pricing never lived in DC suberbs people stop complaining because u don't know how to turn off your lights and water that has nothing to do with the management company. And parking I have no issues parking I'm always parked right in front of my building nomatter what time of day and I have met several people for u anti socials there's ex police officers across the hall a nice older gentelman who was in WWII random people at the pool. And the grills every weekend I smell BBQ water bill is on 50 if u don't pay on time and that would be including 2 bills. I've loved here for 7 months and atoll love it here. No complaints here. You people with complaints need to get a grip stop living with hate for an apartment community. Or do and give youself a heart attack it won't be anyones fault but yours

Avendaro District Manager is the problem with the office staff at Avendaro. She makes excuses for them. Instead of traning them and holding them accountable for not doing their job correctly.

To Nabisco421sm2. I have a 3 BR unit. It is just me and my son. My water bill is 90 a month and my elec is 260 . We are out of town at least a week out of each month. I rarely run the dishwasher and we have very little to put in the washer and dryer. Showers are quick because of the high bills. I pay 1110.00 a month for this place plus the high bills, so if I need to air my frustrations and complain. I know very well how to turn off my lights and water. So maybe things are peachy for you but I have to put up with screaming kids and dogs crapping all around me. I have gotten a grip! I had a heart attack 2 months ago and my worries and health promlems go much further than that. I cannot blame Avendaro 100% for all of the problems I have but the stress of this situation here has not helped me either. I have to carry loads of groceries long distances and then up the stairs to a only "so-so" apt. that is hot inside because I am scared to death to turn the AC on. So open your mind a little bit and realize that there are others that do not have such ideal living arrangements. I suggest just keeping you contented uninformed mouth shut!!!!

sherrieak, attitude is everything,,,I sincerely beleive that no matter where you live, you will have the same issues. You are going to find what you look for, and you seem to be looking for problems. Sounds like maybe you got an apt a little larger than you can afford, just move to a smaller apt in another complex when your lease renews, calm down, take a deep breath, quit complaining and try enjoying life. Im with you Nabisco, this is a nice place to live.
