After having nothing but trouble with management (numerous requests to come into the apartment, 5 times in two weeks) just to "view" the apartment, we finally got to move out.

We were switching to a month-to-month lease which has a 30-day notice.

They're fighting to keep the security deposit, and now we're having to retain a lawyer to fight them.

Be VERY careful.

This place is capable of so much more it is such a shame that the staff is a pack of liars. You would think that the piles of dog poo that they so vehemently state should be picked up (or you will be FINED) are some sort of strange obstacle course for humans with nice shoes. Greedy grubbers have to make sure that they get their money at all costs. No member on the staff, maintenance or otherwise, even SINCE the change, has EVER spoken the truth. Sad when someone looks you directly in the eye and lies. How can they actually feel good about doing that? Everyone should read their lease and look around for just how many ways they are being screwed by this management. Anyone who reads these reviews is more than likely trying to find a decent place to live. That would NOT be here. This place represents a shattered dream. And a very wet and smelly one at that! Incompetent management is going to cause many more residents to leave. Be persistent in your pursuit of getting what is rightfully due. How is anyone supposed to give a 60 day notice on the month to month anyway? That is the dumbest thing for any so called management company to attempt to pursue. They should just let it go if they have any clue which they don't.
