I haven't been living here long, but I love y apartment here at Balcones Woods. It is a 2-floor "town-home" layout...really cool. The ceiling in the living room is like 25 feet high....which is good cuz I hate the claustrophobic feeling of apartments(although this is my first).

I have never heard any noise, except one or twice I heard someone talking outside. Hell, I hardly even see people....I think the place is too quite....sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who lives here (Note: I am from a small town where neighbors actually talk to each other). I'll admit that I'm a metal guitar player(Pantera rules!), so if anyone is going to complain about noise it might be my neighbor complaining about me. I have not problem turning it down...I just don't know what they can and can't hear.

Considering I've seen like 5 people (pretty much only the speed-walkers and swimmers), I don't see why there are so many cars here! There's like hundreds. It doesn't look like *that* many apartments though. However, I've always been able to find a parking place close by. But I guess I'm lucky cuz mine faces one of the large lots.

The exterior is just so happy which is why I chose to live here. The $729/month is pretty good, but we got a really good deal, so that we pretty much don't pay anything for the first 2 months. Haven't gotten the first electric bill, but the air conditioning unit is all-digital, which is different from the analog one I seen on the website sited in an older review. It has a "usage" button so I monitor how much it is running, extensive night/day/weekend programming, and others.

I just love the whole environment, inside and out. Well I don't like that the hand-rails on my stairs are kinda shaky, but really it's not a problem. I also don't like the bathrooms in the second pool(near the tennis courts), I was scared shtless when I went there once at night cuz they are so run down--I was expecting someone or something to jump out at me. The actual pool is hella-nice though, especially the pool beyind the office. I also really like the desk-lady who attended us....hell I wish I had the guts to ask her out. Even this "temp" that did our lease signing was really nice. Maintenance came within an hour for my only 2 problems so far.

Really recommend this place.
