You get what you pay for

As with most things in life, if the cost is cheap, so is the product. Our experience with Balcones Woods Apt. was exactly this. The floor plan we lived in was the one bedroom loft.
We had problems with rain leaking in under the doors and problems with water damage on the ceiling. They did come and "fix" the water damage by putting some paint over it. They never fixed the leaking doors.
We also had some shower problems. When pressure was applied to the wall, it caved in!! They did come and fix it, but it is a little scary to think how weak the drywall is if it collapses with a little pressure.
We lived here for six months and I was ready to move by then. I don't have any complaints about the staff or the groundkeeping. And we did have high electric bills, but it was a loft and a vaulted ceiling, so you will have higher electric bills.
Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but I won't be living there again. It is cheap, but when you pay cheap, you get cheap.
