Be Very Careful

I just moved into the complex in April, 3 months ago, and have been having consistant issues with my apartment. Every time it storms, rain comes in and soaks my carpet. I'm living on a lower level, with a 2 story town home above me, and the management can't seem to figure out how the rain is getting in.
The first time I reported the problem, nothing was done to address it. I assumed it had been taken care of...until the second round of storms brought in a lot of water. So much that the seams that run along the sheet rock of the ceiling were gaping apart and letting water through. The supposed "repairs" that were done took 2-3 weeks to be completed. Management wouldn't do anything to make sure that the ceiling materials were dried to prevent mold growth. Instead they just resealed some of the seams, leaving the water inside of the hot ceiling.
It stormed again last night, and I came home to find my coffee table completely soaked in rain water. I left a message for the leasing office to contact me to let me know what they were going to do about it. This has been going on for 3 months. Another lovely experience was the apartment manager unlocking my apartment door, thinking no one was in the unit yet, and meeting me in the living room in my underwear.
After talking to some members of management, I found out that approx. 23 other units were having problems with leaks. Also, I started getting ill frequently, with head aches, nose bleeds, nausea, breathing difficulty, and chronic fatigue. All of those symptoms went away after I moved out. The unit I was in had a sickeningly sweet musty smell to it shortly before I left. I had to wash every piece of fabric I owned to get the smell out, and had to let some of my furniture go because it had absorbed the odor.
I'd look else where before moving here.
