This is the worst apartment complex I've lived at.

Where do I begin' My apartment wasn't ready the day I was scheduled to move in. It needed new carpet. They apologized for the matter and scheduled a carpet crew for the next morning. Then, they gave me the keys. What could I possibly move in'
Several months later, my vehicle was broken into. Come to find out from other residents, this happens a lot here. What disappointed me the most was that the office failed to make their community safe for its residents.
Recently, a kitchen pipe busted. It took maintenance fifteen minutes to get to my apartment. By that time, water had filled my kitchen floor and gotten into the living room carpet. Maintence fixed the leak and vaccumed up some of the water. He left a blower for my carpet to dry. Fortunately, a neighbor of mine in the carpentry business came by to pull the padding out from underneath my carpet. Several days later, maintenance still had not come by to fix my carpet. And my apartment started to smell and I found rodents.
I wish that I would have never signed a lease here. It protects them more than it does the resident. According to the lease, they may not be doing anything wrong. But it's what they're not doing, that's awful. They're failing to take care of their residents.
Currently, I'm in the process of trying to get out of my lease. It looks like I will probably have to pay to get out of it. It doesn't seem right, but I will pay to get out of here.
