I totally agree with the reviews that the apartments can be shoddy as well as a nice and clean place to live at the same time. The maintenance staff was always courteous and very very helpful to my boyfriend and I. The AC went out a couple of times(it was very hot that summer though) and sometimes the water was off for many hours which had been a problem. The maintenance staff worked so hard to help me whenever there was a problem. I lived there between 7/2001 and 1/2003. Also, I liked the layout of the apartment and the size of the windows and balcones. This apartment was my first experience in Austin and I enjoyed living here in general. The noise from the highway was too much for me that I wanted to move. The tennis courts were a big plus and I really enjoyed my time here at these apartments despite the problems. I enjoyed going to the pool which was pretty small, but it was okay. The neighbors were pretty quiet and always nice. I didn't like the cabinet work because it was old and the appliance do need upgrades. I agree, tenants do sometimes drive way way to fast in the driveways, but I have seen this happen in several apt. complexes since I moved to Austin in 2001. I wish they had the internet in the office for everyone to use when I was there, it would have made life so much better. The staff in the office was a mixed bag. Sometimes they were nice to me and sometimes they didn't want to be helpful. In general, they were moody when I politely asked for packages during regular office hours like between 1-5 pm and when I had questions for them being new in Austin and about the apartment I was living in etc. Overall, I liked my experience here but I must agree that there are better places to live for this price range.
