I just moved in here, hoping it would be pretty quiet since I was told that the apartments were built to "condo specs" with concrete in the walls. However, I can hear every single step my neighbors above me make as if they are stomping around, but they are probably walking normally. There is a lot of thumping around at all hours from the huge dog upstairs, who is probably about 80 pounds. A little too large for a one bedroom apartment in my opinion. The grounds are kept fairly well, but no one seems to pick up after their dogs, so that is a major problem. Other than that, the surroundings are pretty with lots of trees. The complex seems safe enough, and there are families with children here. Haven't had too much contact with the office staff, they seem like normal people though. They did make a mistake with our lease, which turned out to be in our favor, but a mistake is a mistake. The location is good, close to downtown. One downside is that management doesn't pay for water or garbage, and the dumpsters seem to be overflowing often. One of our neighbors solves this problem himself by leaving his full trash bags by his front door for days. No one seems to mind. Overall,this place isn't the best that I've lived in, but I guess it's not the worst either. The noise problem might be better if you got a top floor apartment or a townhome. I'm glad to be leaving soon.
