Avoid this place like the plague!

My major complaint is with the management of this complex.
They put on a nice happy face when you turn your rent checks in, but try to get them to do anything and it's like dealing with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I've even had the head manager onsite lie to my face (over something so stupid it was laughable, and to top it off the assistant manager said I was rude when I called the manager on it).
Obviously I now have an antagonistic relationship with them (I've asked them to do their job apparently).
Problems:
- Continual Noise and Pool Violations (see below)
- lots of smelly Dog ----
- Maintenance will be blown off, unless you're willing to call with a new work order every day until someone gets sent out.
- In violation of their own lease they will enter your apartment without warning or cause.
- Some sort of electrical problem with the lights around the front doors. (lights turn on and off at seemingly random intervals, when it's dark you almost need a flashlight to put your key in the lock.)
Do yourself a favor and scratch this place off your list.
Best regards,
Current Tenant
This is part of a written complaint given to the onsite management. Their response, in writing, was to call the cops as they don't have any security personnel and no one lives onsite.
Timeline of events:
Summer of 2004, almost every weekend drunks were using the pool after hours
Fall of 2004, after hours pool noise went away
Mid January 2005, I signed a new lease, only because I thought the problems of last summer were fixed
Early February 2005, weekly after hours parties in the pool area start
Late February 2005, complain in person to the office about the drunks using the pool at all hours
Partial List of Noise and Pool Violations:
If listed these people were in the pool area when it was closed. They were making noise enough noise to wake people up, and almost always drinking. Most appear to be teenagers with a few in their early 20s.
