the brilliant management came up with an excellent way to ensure that tenants keep their balconies clean. If you happen to leave any trash (say, a cigarette butt or a beer bottle) on your balcony, they will remove it and charge you $50 for "this courtesy" (their words). tenants can no longer have ashtrays on their balconies. so instead of putting cigarettes out in ashtrays, your smoking neighbors will be throwing them onto the ground. perhaps this wouldn't be so bad if the grounds behind the apartments were cleaned on a regular basis, but they are not. the management does the bare minimum to make sure that this place looks ok to prospective tenants, so you will notice that the areas that you see during the tour are relatively clean (although you might step in some dog poop because most people who live here refuse to clean up after their dogs), however once you move in you will notice that the areas facing the greenbelt are polluted with trash that is never cleaned up. I put in two requests to have the trash behind my apartment removed and they were ignored. I ended up removing it myself. Perhaps I should charge them $50 for this courtesy.
Another thing, it is practically impossible to reach the office staff during the workday. They rarely answer the phones and frequently leave early or lock themselves in the office. They also NEVER return phone calls. They may seem nice when they are trying to get you to sign a lease, but the service ends after the sale.
Also, 5 people have had their tires slashed in the past week and I have also seen a car that had a tree branch stuffed through the back windshield. It took the management over a week to have this car towed, and they have refused to increase security or even notify residents of the incidents so that we can be aware while walking around at night. They are unprofessional and uncaring and do the very least amount of work in order to keep their jobs.
